our story

As a child, I grew up in Los Angeles on former orange groves surround by fruit trees and vegetable gardens.  On our property, we had orange, grapefruit, fig, apricot and plumb trees, as well as strawberries, blackberries and raspberries.  Without understanding why, I learned to appreciate the incredible flavors of fresh fruits and vegetables. 

Later, as the mother of a daughter with allergies, I became interested in food science.  I focused on the impact food has on the body.  My love of fresh ingredients and my interest in food science opened my eyes to the importance of flavor pairing.

I started Whidbey Vinegars not only to produce vinegars with amazing flavor, I also wanted to create an incredibly healthy vinegar for my customers and provide education on how to best use my product.
